Just a quick note for anyone who needs to convert between QRA (Maidenhead) locators and geographic coordinates.
We've set up a simple, no-frills web tool at bsdworld.org/QRA-Locator. It's a lightweight page that does exactly what it says in the title:
- Enter a QRA locator (like
CM87VL) - See on a map where the grid is located
- Click on the map and get back the corresponding latitude and longitude
- Clicking on the crosshair button next to in the form will give you your current locator
Really easy to use, enter any valid QRA locator in the search field, or move the map and click on a location. The conversion happens entirely in your browser—pure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No data is sent to the server, no tracking, no clutter.
